ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Monday directed all Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and mobile phone firms to reopen the social networking website Facebook blocked over blasphemous content.The decision came after issuance of notification by the ministry of information technology and telecommunication in this regard.Secretary Federal Ministry for Information Technology Najeebullah Malik s that this decision was made on the instruction of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani at the cabinet’s meeting.The Facebook administration tendered apology after receiving protest letter from the government of Pakistan.The social networking site also assured that such content would not be posted in the future.
