Apple iPad is ready for Pre-order

After months of anticipation, Apple started accepting pre-orders for its iPad tablet device on Friday. Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs introduced the iPad in January as a brand new category. The device will let people perform many of the same functions as an iPhone, such as email and Web surfing, and provides access to Apple’s App Store on a bigger 9.7-inch screen. But it also adds some new features like a digital bookstore and the ability to create documents and spreadsheets
All models of the iPad can be pre-ordered, but the versions with the optional 3G radio won't ship until late April. There are three Wi-Fi configurations: the $499 16GB version, the $599 32GB version, or the $699 64GB version. The three 3G models will cost $130 more than their respective Wi-Fi counterparts--$629 for 16GB, $729 for 32GB, and $829 for 64GB.
